Pocono Services for Families and Children

Our Story

The Pocono Services for Families and Children (PSFC) began in 1965 as a modest eight-week summer Head Start program for 12 preschoolers. Over the decades, it has transformed into a year-round service provider, positively impacting over 300 children from infants to teens across Monroe County. The opening of The Mountain Center in 2016-2017 marked a significant expansion, offering educational and community services to underserved areas. PSFC is dedicated to adapting to the evolving needs of families and children, emphasizing compassion, impact, and excellence.

Impact

PSFC has demonstrated that poverty, hunger, and despair can be replaced with hope, empowerment, and productivity. Serving over 300 children year-round, the organization is committed to expanding its reach to better support at-risk families.
