Our Story

Pockets of Light was founded in 2016 by Erin Truxillo, Jennifer Brown, and Denise Cante, who recognized a critical need for consistent peer support following perinatal loss. Over the past eight years, POL has expanded its reach from supporting fewer than 20 individuals in its inaugural year to over 550 today. The organization hosts various support groups, events, and panels throughout the year, while also offering free perinatal loss training to local hospitals and graduate programs focused on healthcare.
