Pockets Full of Sunshine was founded in 2015 by dedicated special educators and parents of young adults with special needs. Recognizing the gap in services for individuals who age out of school at 21, the organization was established to provide essential social and vocational opportunities, allowing these individuals to contribute to their communities and shine in their unique ways.
Currently, Pockets Full of Sunshine serves nearly 60 adults with special needs, offering vocational training and social opportunities. The organization has successfully created handmade products sold in local markets, fostering community engagement and support.
