Founded in 1969 by dedicated parents and volunteers, Pleasantview Industries began as a grassroots initiative to support individuals with developmental disabilities. Originally known as Pleasantview Achievement Center, the organization started in a small bungalow in rural Saugus, where Central Park now stands. Over the years, it has evolved into one of the oldest nonprofits in the Santa Clarita Valley, focusing on vocational skill development and community integration.
Pleasantview Industries is committed to helping current and future workers develop essential vocational skills. Clients engage in community-based opportunities, including volunteerism, fostering their growth as integrated members of society.
Despite receiving funding from the Department of Developmental Services and the Department of Rehabilitation, Pleasantview often faces outdated rates that do not cover operational costs in 2023.
