Our Story

Pleasant View, Inc. was founded in 1971 by members of the Virginia Mennonite Conference to create community living options for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Starting with the C. C. Turner House, a group home for six people, the organization has expanded its services to include various residential settings and day support services throughout Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.

Pleasant View empowers individuals with disabilities to explore, embrace, and find joy in living, fostering opportunities, community, and relationships that help each person grow as individuals and fully integrated community members.
