Our Story
The P.L.A.Y. School, rooted in the legacy of the First United Methodist Church Preschool, has been a beacon of innovative, play-based learning since the 1970s. This nationally-recognized curriculum emphasizes the importance of a nurturing environment where children aged 3 to 5 can thrive through play. With a focus on developing friendships and social skills, the school offers a rich array of activities including games, crafts, storytelling, and experiential learning. Over the years, the curriculum has evolved, yet it remains dedicated to whole-child development, ensuring that children gain essential social-emotional, oral language, math, and literacy skills through engaging, hands-on experiences.
