Our Story

Founded in 2002 by artist Judy Anderson and Mark Smith, PlatteForum is dedicated to providing creative learning opportunities for under-resourced youth in Denver. This innovative nonprofit combines arts education with community engagement, making a significant impact on the lives of young people from historically marginalized backgrounds.

PlatteForum’s programs are designed to foster critical arts education and access, ensuring that youth are prepared for high school graduation and post-secondary success. With a remarkable 97% graduation rate in the ArtLab program, participants are equipped to create positive social change in their communities.
