Platte River Academy

Our Story

Platte River Academy was founded in response to a community need for a Core Knowledge school in Highlands Ranch. The founders, having faced challenges in enrolling their own children in existing schools, sought to create an environment that builds on successful educational models. Since opening in 1997 with 250 students in grades K-6, PRA has grown to serve nearly 540 students in grades PK-8, including the addition of a preschool program in 2020.
