Founded in 1987, Plano Metropolitan Ballet (PMB) is dedicated to enriching the local community through high-quality original dance productions. Under the artistic direction of Cindi Lawrence Hanson since 1998, PMB has expanded to include over 50 talented dancers aged 12-18 and a Junior Company of about 40 dancers aged 8-12. The organization aims to foster responsibility, enhance dance skills, and stimulate interest in dance across North Texas.
PMB has made a significant impact through its annual performances and outreach programs, such as PMB Pals, which supports children with special needs. The annual Plano Dance Festival showcases local talent and has garnered recognition as the 'Best Way to Get Artsy in Plano,' with a history of sold-out performances.
