Our Story

In 1983, Reverend Doctor Tom Graves and a local landowner recognized the urgent need for low-income senior housing in Plano, Texas. With the guidance of Don Learner and support from the Ministerial Alliance, they founded Plano Community Homes. This grassroots organization secured HUD funding and built its first apartments, which were fully occupied within days, establishing a legacy of affordable housing for seniors.

For over 30 years, Plano Community Homes has provided HUD-subsidized housing, significantly improving the quality of life for low-income seniors. Through renovations and accessible features, the organization enhances living conditions for seniors and disabled individuals.
