The Planet Bee Story

Founded in 2015 by passionate beekeepers Bill and Debra, Planet Bee Foundation addresses the urgent crisis of Colony Collapse Disorder and its impact on pollination. With a commitment to environmental stewardship, the organization offers free educational programs that engage youth in understanding the vital role of bees in our ecosystem. Initially targeting schools, the program has expanded to include community and corporate initiatives, reaching over 500,000 individuals across the San Francisco Bay Area, DC/NJ/NYC, and Philadelphia.

By providing no-cost Environmental STEM Programs, the foundation ensures inclusivity and social justice in environmental education. The diverse offerings include asynchronous and synchronous lessons focused on bees, the HarvestED curriculum, Community Science Programs, and Educator Professional Development.
