Feeding the Foothills, formerly known as Placer Food Bank, has been a beacon of hope in the fight against hunger since 1970. With a commitment to serving El Dorado, Nevada, and Placer Counties, this organization has evolved into a vital resource for those in need. As a proud member of Feeding America since 1990, it has expanded its facilities and staff to distribute millions of pounds of food annually.

Impact

In the 2023-2024 period, Feeding the Foothills distributed an impressive 11.2 million pounds of food, providing 15.3 million meals to 1.2 million individuals. The organization is dedicated to addressing food insecurity, especially among the 12,700 children in its service area.
