Pittsburgh I.C.E., formerly known as Hockey in the Hood, began its journey on December 4th, 2000, with support from the National Hockey League and the Pittsburgh Penguins Alumni. Over the past 23 seasons, this program has provided ice hockey Learn to Play programs, skills development, and competitive opportunities to over 1,400 children in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania.
Dedicated to inclusivity, Pittsburgh I.C.E. offers children from all socio-economic backgrounds the chance to learn ice hockey, fostering positive youth development, academic success, and essential life skills.
