Our Story

Pioneer Center for Human Services was founded in 1958 by dedicated parents striving for better educational opportunities for their children with developmental disabilities. This commitment led to the establishment of the first day school program in McHenry County, Illinois. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services to support individuals facing developmental disabilities, behavioral health challenges, and homelessness, ensuring dignity, respect, and independence for all.
