Pink Phoenix

Our Story

Founded in 1996 by Dorothy Atwood, Pink Phoenix Dragon Boat Team is the first breast cancer dragon boat team in the United States. Inspired by a team of blind paddlers, Pink Phoenix began with 29 breast cancer survivors and has since grown to over 100 members. This diverse group represents individuals at various stages of their cancer journey, united by the spirit of empowerment and camaraderie.
