Our Story

Pima County Parklands Foundation was established by dedicated volunteers committed to protecting and enhancing local parks. As the population of Pima County has increased, public funding for parks has not kept pace, leading to a need for additional resources. The foundation plays a crucial role in financing programs and improvements for Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation (NRPR) facilities, ensuring that residents and visitors can enjoy quality recreational experiences.

Our Impact

Since 1989, the foundation has provided thousands of free swim lessons to children and supported over 3,000 Tucson schoolchildren with enriching outings to Old Tucson every January.
