Our Story

Pilsen Neighbors Community Council has been a cornerstone of the Pilsen community for over 60 years, originally founded by Eastern European immigrants in 1954. As the community evolved, particularly with the influx of Mexican immigrants, PNCC adapted its mission to address pressing needs, focusing on social justice, education reform, healthcare, immigration reform, and civic engagement.

Our Impact

Through dedicated advocacy, PNCC has successfully organized significant improvements, including the establishment of the Alivio Medical Center and securing $26 million in city infrastructure funds. The organization has also been instrumental in developing educational institutions like Benito Juarez High School and hosting the Fiesta del Sol, a vibrant celebration of Latino culture that attracts over a million attendees annually.
