Our Story

Pilots With A Purpose (PWAP) was co-founded by Ed Nielsen, who has dedicated his career to supporting youth in the foster care system and those facing challenges in their lives. Inspired by a cancer survivor's journey, PWAP aims to increase minority and female participation in aviation careers, addressing the critical shortage of pilots and cultural disparities in the industry. Partnering with Cargill Aeronautical Academy, PWAP provides essential training and mentorship to aspiring pilots.
