Pillars of Peace

Our Story

Pillars of Peace was founded by members of the Islamic Center at NYU to fill a critical gap in residential services for Muslim survivors of domestic and gender-based violence. While the focus is on the Muslim community, all individuals are welcomed. The organization is dedicated to creating a trauma-informed environment that empowers survivors through support and encouragement.

Impact

To date, Pillars of Peace has distributed $140,800 in financial relief, assisting 80 families with microgrants to combat food insecurity and housing challenges. These efforts aim to empower survivors and promote financial stability.
