Pilgrim Skating Arena was founded in 1974 by Arthur Flaherty, Ed Taylor, and Jack O’Donoghue. Rescuing the rink from bankruptcy, they transformed it into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Pilgrim embodies the motto 'The Rink that Teaches,' focusing on developing individual character, responsibility, and teamwork.
As of June 2021, Pilgrim has awarded 557 scholarships totaling over $2,042,500 to deserving graduating high school seniors, showcasing a strong commitment to community support and youth development.
