Our Story
The Pike Road Volunteer Fire Protection organization began in the 1970s with a single 1957 American LaFrance Pumper, stored in a local farmer's barn. Community support was crucial, as funds were raised by passing the hat to fuel the pumper. Over the years, this grassroots effort has transformed into a robust fire department with six fire stations, five pumpers, a 75 ft. ladder/pumper, two tankers, two medical rescue vehicles, a brush truck, an education/smokehouse trailer, a fire service/support vehicle, and a 2014 Kubota Fire/Rescue ATV.
