Our Story
Piers Park Sailing Center (PPSC) was founded in 1998 as a vital part of Piers Park, an open community green space on the East Boston Waterfront. With ADA-compliant facilities, PPSC has been a beacon of hope and opportunity for over two decades, providing unique educational experiences for youth and adults alike. The organization is community-driven, with its leadership having grown up in its programs.
Impact
Every year, more than 2,000 children engage in sailing and marine science education at PPSC, with approximately one-third of participants being sailors with cognitive or physical disabilities. This inclusive approach empowers individuals to become stewards of a healthier Boston Harbor.
