Our Story

The Pickwick Mill, built between 1856 and 1858, stands as one of the oldest flour mills in southeast Minnesota. Originally a sawmill, it transitioned to a flour mill, playing a crucial role during the Civil War by supplying flour to the Union Army. Today, this historic site and museum is administered by Pickwick Mill Incorporated, a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to preserving this landmark.
