Our Story

The Physical Therapy Learning Institute (PTLI), founded in 1991 by Dr. Geneva R. Johnson and Dr. Lynda Woodruff, has been at the forefront of transforming physical therapy education. Originally named Peach Blossom Learning Institute, the organization has evolved to advocate for the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) as the entry-level degree and to promote leadership development within the profession. PTLI became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2008, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and collaboration in physical therapy.
