Our Story

Established in 1924, the Phyllis Wheatley Community Center has been a cornerstone for the Black and BIPOC community in Minneapolis for nearly a century. This historic center provides essential community-based programming, pre-K education, and uplifting events that foster a sense of belonging and empowerment.
