Our Story

Founded in 1981 by passionate activists, Phoenix Pride has been at the forefront of LGBTQ+ advocacy in metro Phoenix. The organization began with a historic Pride march and has evolved into a vital educational non-profit. Over the years, Phoenix Pride has coordinated annual Pride festivals and parades, fostering community spirit and visibility for LGBTQ+ individuals. Since 2008, the organization has awarded over $1.2 million in scholarships and grants to support LGBTQ+ individuals and allied organizations, making a lasting impact in the community.
