Our Story
Founded in 1997, Phoenix Academy began as a humble one-room schoolhouse at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in High Point, North Carolina. Co-founders Kim and Paul Norcross envisioned a nurturing educational environment where families could access quality education without the burden of tuition. In 1999, they applied for a charter school, and by 2000, Phoenix Academy opened its doors in trailers, marking the beginning of a transformative journey.
Over the past 25 years, Phoenix Academy has evolved significantly, now boasting three campuses spread across 60 acres. This growth is a testament to the unwavering support from community stakeholders who have dedicated their time, talent, and resources to this mission. With small class sizes and a dedicated teaching staff, Phoenix Academy continues to foster a love for learning in students of all backgrounds.
