Our Story
Founded in 1941 by Hermann Rinne, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis provides a platform for talented volunteer musicians to perform symphonic music. The orchestra has grown to include educational initiatives and community outreach programs, making classical music accessible to all.

Engaging, educating, and enriching the community, the orchestra has awarded over 500 scholarships and offers a tuition-free music camp for young musicians.
