The Philadelphia Flying Phoenix Association is a competitive women’s dragon boat team that has been making waves on the Schuylkill River since 2003. This vibrant community is united by a strong work ethic, a passion for fun, and a deep commitment to one another as teammates. With practices held two or more days a week from March to October, PFP members prioritize fitness and self-improvement, both on and off the water.
PFP’s influence reaches beyond the water, particularly through our Healthy Dragons program, which supports economically disadvantaged youth paddlers. Additionally, our crew, Against the Wind, actively contributes to breast cancer charities, including Living Beyond Breast Cancer, demonstrating a commitment to community health and empowerment.
