Our Story

Founded in February 1990, Pets & People Humane Society began as a pet therapy program in Yukon, Oklahoma. Over the years, it has evolved into a full-service humane society, rescuing thousands of dogs and cats from local shelters. The organization has implemented foster home programs, community outreach, and educational initiatives focused on the importance of spaying and neutering pets.

Since its inception, Pets & People has successfully adopted out over 55,000 animals, providing a safe haven for pets until they find loving homes.
