Our Story

Founded in 1990 by Dr. Susan Wynn and Dr. Margaret Schulte, Pets Are Loving Support, Inc. (PALS) was created to assist individuals living with AIDS who faced challenges in caring for their pets. Recognizing the vital bond between humans and animals, PALS began by collecting pet food to support these individuals. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services to include the elderly, veterans, and those with disabilities or critical illnesses, ensuring that pets and their owners can remain together.

Impact

Since its inception, PALS has provided essential services to over 1,000 clients and more than 1,300 companion animals, helping vulnerable populations maintain their connection to their pets through free pet food and low-cost veterinary services.
