Our Story

Pets Alive WNY, formerly known as Buffalo Humane, was established to address the potential closure of the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter's adoption program. This grassroots initiative has evolved into a no-kill rescue organization, operating entirely on a volunteer basis. Since its name change in 2014, Pets Alive WNY has focused on promoting animal welfare in the Buffalo area.

Our Impact

Pets Alive WNY is committed to protecting the health, safety, and welfare of both pets and people. By rescuing homeless animals and advocating for spay/neuter programs, the organization plays a vital role in the community.
