Established in 2006, this center has become a safe haven for individuals seeking companionship and nourishment. Since 2008, it has operated without government funding, relying solely on the generosity of donations and the support of volunteers.

Since its inception, the Peter Maurin Center has served over 120,000 meals and welcomed thousands of visitors, providing essential services to unsheltered and marginalized individuals and families in the Greater Akron area.
