PetEmber

Our Story

PetEmber is a California-based 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit animal rescue organization founded in 2016. With a mission to save any animal that can be fostered in a normal household, PetEmber has formed productive partnerships with organizations such as PetSmart Charities, Subaru of America, Adoptapet.com, and the Petfinder Foundation. Operating in a foster-based manner, PetEmber has rescued over 3000 animals across Southern California, including the Inland Empire, Orange County, LA County, and along the US-Mexico border. As of 2022, the rescue has expanded its efforts to include animals from Northern California and Texas.

Impact

In recent years, PetEmber has made significant strides in animal rescue, rehabilitating and rehoming more than 250 pets in 2018, over 400 pets in 2019, and more than 500 pets in 2020. The organization continues to strive to help even more animals each year, significantly reducing the number of animals euthanized in high-kill shelters.
