Our Story

The Petaluma River Park Foundation was established in 2019 by passionate local residents dedicated to reclaiming the McNear Peninsula in Petaluma, California, as a vital community resource. With the support of over 400 individuals and organizations, the foundation successfully purchased the land in late 2020.

The foundation is committed to restoring the riverfront habitat and transforming it into a welcoming public park that will serve the community for generations. This park is designed to be inclusive and accessible, enriching the lives of all residents and visitors.
