Our Story

Mobility Worldwide MO – Columbia began in 1994, inspired by missionary Larry Hills' call for mobility solutions for individuals with leg disabilities in Zaire. Reverend Mel West and product designer Earl Miner joined forces to create a hand-cranked wheelchair, leading to the establishment of a production facility in Columbia, Missouri. Since then, the organization has expanded its reach, providing mobility carts to over 100,000 individuals worldwide.
