Our Story

Founded in 2004 by Paula Kent Meehan, the Pet Care Foundation aims to lower the euthanasia rate in Los Angeles city and county animal shelters. Initially focused on establishing a Beverly Hills Animal Shelter, the foundation pivoted to partner with the City of Los Angeles, creating impactful programs that have found new homes for over 125,000 cats and dogs.

Impact

In 2024 alone, the Pet Care Foundation has assisted 2,247 animals, achieving a remarkable 90% adoption rate through its TV show. The foundation's initiatives have significantly contributed to reducing the euthanasia rate in local shelters.
