Our Story

The Perris Valley Filipino-American Association, Inc. (PVFAA) was founded in July 1997 by a dedicated group of Filipino-American families in Perris, California. The organization was established to foster camaraderie and kinship among its members while engaging and developing Filipino-American youth through civic and community service activities. With a focus on leadership potential and values formation, PVFAA has expanded its reach across the Inland Empire, Los Angeles, and San Diego. In April 2008, the IRS recognized PVFAA as a tax-exempt nonprofit, allowing it to further its mission.

Impact

PVFAA has been honored as the 2024 Nonprofit of the Year in California's District 60, showcasing its commitment to serving the Filipino-American community. The organization has successfully implemented initiatives such as the COVID-19 Awareness Program and established the Filipino American Asian American Mental Health Resource Center to address critical mental health needs.
