About Performing Arts and Science Academy (PASA)

Founded in 1996 by Justine Roberts, the Performing Arts and Science Academy (PASA) began as a haven for artistic dance programming for children and youth. In 2010, PASA achieved 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, paving the way for an expanded curriculum that now includes a robust STEAM program, integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.

In 2014, a significant grant from Duke Energy allowed PASA to develop a state-of-the-art Aerospace Flight Simulator program, enhancing the educational experience for participants. Today, PASA proudly serves over 190 children in after-school programs and more than 200 in summer sessions, fostering creativity and academic growth.
