Hockey in Peoria began in 1958, thanks to the efforts of Pete BardezBanian and the Peoria Park District. The Peoria Youth Hockey Association (PYHA) was officially formed in 1971, evolving from humble beginnings to a thriving program that now operates at the Owens Recreation Center, featuring two all-season hockey rinks. Over the decades, PYHA has fostered a love for the sport, creating opportunities for youth to engage in hockey and develop their skills.
PYHA is dedicated to developing players and coaches, ensuring they achieve optimal performance while enjoying a positive experience in the sport.
