Our Story

The People’s Port Authority, formerly known as No LNG in PVD, emerged from the grassroots resistance against the proposed Liquified Natural Gas facility in the Port. After years of battling against the Raimondo Administration and state agencies, the organization transformed its name to reflect its ongoing commitment to fight against fossil fuel development and toxic facilities.
