Our Story

People Helping People began with a vision to assist individuals facing financial crises. Local social worker Wilhelmina Johnson recognized the need for a united effort among faith communities. What started with a few churches has now blossomed into a network of over 50 congregations dedicated to this mission.

Each year, People Helping People aids over 2,000 families, focusing on essential services like utility assistance, medicine, and eyeglasses.
