Our Story

People for Equality and Relief in Lanka (PEARL) was founded in 2005 to advocate for justice and self-determination for the Tamil people in North-East Sri Lanka. Through research, advocacy, and activism, PEARL promotes and protects the human rights of the Tamil community.

Impact

PEARL has successfully influenced U.S. government policy and UN Human Rights Council activities regarding Sri Lanka, mobilizing global awareness of human rights violations.
