Since its inception on June 4, 1996, The People Center has been a beacon of hope for those in need within the Tri-Cities area. What began as a single home with a food pantry and clothing hutch has blossomed into a vital community resource. Over the years, The People Center has expanded its services to include six transitional apartments across three homes, providing a safe haven for families facing hardship.

In 2004 alone, The People Center responded to the needs of over 1,800 guests, offering food, clothing, and transitional housing. The organization is powered by a dedicated team of over 60 volunteers and one part-time employee, all committed to making a difference in the lives of their neighbors.
