Our Story

The Pennsylvania Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Network, or PAIRWN, was founded in May 2001 by ten women from diverse backgrounds. They united to assist one another in taking leadership roles within their communities, recognizing the need for newly arriving women to gain essential skills and self-confidence for a successful transition to a new life.

For over 20 years, PAIRWN has provided vital services that help immigrant and refugee women overcome cultural, linguistic, and financial barriers, enabling them to integrate successfully into their communities.
