About Peninsula Volunteers Inc.

Founded in 1947 by Beth Kuechler and a dedicated group of women, Peninsula Volunteers Inc. (PVI) has been a cornerstone of community welfare in San Mateo County. Initially focused on education and scholarships, PVI evolved to establish the first suburban senior center in the U.S. in 1949, paving the way for comprehensive senior care services.

Impact on the Community

PVI serves over 3,000 meals weekly through its Meals on Wheels program, ensuring seniors receive nutritious food and essential services that help them maintain independence and quality of life.
