The Penfield Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1955, has a rich history as Rochester’s longest-standing community orchestra. Originally part of the Adult Education Department of the Penfield Central School District, it became an independent nonprofit in 1982. Under the leadership of David Harman, the orchestra expanded from 70 to over 90 musicians, bringing together a diverse group of talented individuals dedicated to the art of music.
The PSO enriches the cultural life of Penfield and surrounding communities through live orchestral concerts, providing access to high-quality musical experiences.
