The Orchestra of New Spain, established in 1989, is a professional baroque orchestra and chorus dedicated to the rich musical heritage of Spain and its New World influence. With a focus on serving the Hispanic community, the organization has been instrumental in providing educational activities since 1996, including in-school concerts in West Dallas.
Each season, the Orchestra of New Spain reaches over 2,500 children through its youth initiatives, including In-School Lessons and an annual Summer Strings Camp. Thousands of DISD students have experienced their first live arts performance through free concerts, significantly enhancing local arts education.
