Peer Recovery Resources began as a dedicated group of Peer Support Specialists aiming to bridge the gap in support services for individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges in Wilmington and Brunswick County. In 2015, they secured seed funding and established the Recovery Resource Center, which was renamed Peer Recovery Resources in 2018 to better reflect its mission.
Providing essential support and recovery services, Peer Recovery Resources focuses on high-need populations, including older adults, veterans, and those experiencing homelessness.
