Initially established as the Peace Maker Foundation, the organization provided scholarships for peacemaking research at the University of Minnesota. In 2000, recognizing the urgent need for violence prevention in schools, the foundation transformed into a public charity, PeaceMaker Minnesota, to broaden its mission and impact.
Through the Safe School Initiatives, PeaceMaker Minnesota offers reimbursement payments of up to $1,000 to partner schools, fostering empathy, kindness, and connection among youth. The organization has successfully supported over 200 schools, creating lasting funding streams and empowering students to build a culture of peace.
